I'm Bryden North, and North Interiors is my studio.
I design and style interiors for private homes, and for retail, wellness and hospitality spaces. Each home is planned around the people living in it and how they live day to day.
Most of my projects are in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, with others in the Whitsundays and Sydney, and I’ve worked on high-end homes in the Middle East and the South Pacific.
Interior design
I start with the plans and a workshop with you, and with the architect and builder if they’re already on board.
The concept shows you where the design is heading, with first selections of materials and products from local and international suppliers and my own library of samples.
In design development we refine it together with the project team, and keep it buildable.
Then I document the interiors for tender and construction: space planning, interior detailing and custom joinery, coordinated with the services, so the builder has what they need.
Furniture and styling
I plan the furniture layout, then select, source and order the furniture, art and accessories. Some pieces are new, some are vintage or collected, and some are made for the room. Space, scale and proportion decide what goes where, so each room sits well with the rest of the house.
